The Origin Story
A founder's journey — from taking things apart as a kid, to Duke School of Medicine, to building the infrastructure behind nationwide telehealth.

Before the white coat, there was a habit — dismantling anything with a screw to see how it worked. The question underneath was always the same: why is this built this way, and could it be built better? Medicine and machines were never separate things.
At Duke, medicine stopped being abstract. Rotations, rounds, real patients with real problems that didn't fit neatly into any textbook. It's also where a quieter observation set in: the hardest part of care wasn't diagnosing — it was reaching the person who needed it.
Practicing as a provider made the gaps impossible to unsee. Licensure that stopped at state lines. Compliance workflows held together by spreadsheets. Telehealth products with beautiful interfaces sitting on top of pipes that leaked at every joint.
Every shift produced the same conviction: the bottleneck in modern healthcare isn't the exam room, it's the infrastructure around it. Someone had to build the licensure, routing, and compliance layer that great telehealth companies could quietly stand on.
So he built it. MyOrbit Health is the infrastructure layer behind nationwide telehealth — the rails that let a provider legally, cleanly, and quickly reach a patient in any US state or DC. Today, Shubh is licensed in all 50 states + DC, and MyOrbit is the proof that the model works.
